Lasse’s Apartment
How does RackBuddy furnish its own home?
Step inside a newly renovated mansion apartment
Lasse Nielsen, co-owner and founder of RackBuddy, and his wife, Line, along with their two young children, moved into a large apartment last year – actually just a stone’s throw from RackBuddy's store and showroom on Frederiksberg Allé.
With a deep interest and sense for interior design, style, and quality, Lasse and Line wanted to create a stylish home not only with beautiful and functional furniture but also a unique and personal space with attention to detail.
How can you furnish with RackBuddy?
The couple agreed that, naturally, RackBuddy products would be the first choice for wardrobe solutions and storage space. Anything else would have seemed odd. But what was just as important to them both was that their selection of furniture, materials, and colors should complement RackBuddy's products to create a harmonious and beautiful overall look in the apartment.
Enhance spatial awareness with glass doors and walls
As soon as you enter Lasse and Line's apartment, it’s clear that it’s a spacious and open space with beautiful natural light, inviting you to explore further. The couple has chosen to use beautiful glass doors and walls with solid iron frames in several places, not only bringing in light but also giving a sense of increased space.
Get a tidy entrance with plenty of storage space in raw water pipes and wood
In addition to an elegant glass door with solid iron frames from GlassMate, the entrance features several RackBuddy John shelves for the family’s many shoes, a RackBuddy Marlow shelf for hats and gloves, and RackBuddy Jolene hooks to hang the family’s outerwear. These storage solutions keep the entrance looking neat and tidy, with everything having its designated place.
Let the rooms flow with an open hallway layout
From the entrance, you move directly into what feels like a large open hallway, with a spacious kitchen-living area on one side and a large open living room on the other. The rooms blend harmoniously.
Mix feminine and masculine colors and materials
In the living room, the couple has chosen to decorate the walls with a beautiful light blue plaster from Detale Copenhagen, which pairs perfectly with the blue-lilac velvet sofa and matching armchair. The color also complements the long blue-lilac velvet curtains from And Drape. The coffee table is from RackBuddy, made of pine wood and purple linoleum, while the round turquoise-blue floor lamp, made of copper, adds cozy lighting. As a raw, masculine contrast to the blue-lilac color scheme, the couple commissioned a freestanding shelving unit made from water pipes from RackBuddy.
Add color to the walls and combine it with wood and raw water pipes!
In the open kitchen, the couple has chosen a beautiful pink plaster from Detale Copenhagen for one wall, while another wall is covered with sustainable acoustic wood panels from WoodUpp. This gives the kitchen a distinctive look compared to most Danish kitchens, which are typically kept in more conservative colors like gray and white. On the wood-covered wall, Lasse and Line installed several RackBuddy John shelves in various sizes, elegantly decorated with herbs and jars. Like the coffee table, the dining table is also from RackBuddy, made of pine wood and purple linoleum, beautifully uniting the two walls. The kitchen units are finished in oak veneer, with white Corian countertops, providing a striking contrast to the black Vola faucets. Finally, the couple has created a glass display cabinet with raw water pipes from RackBuddy.
Create a hotel atmosphere with long curtains, clothing racks, and wood panels
The couple’s bedroom is also impeccably designed and most resembles a stylish hotel room. A large double bed with a headboard covered in sustainable wood panels from WoodUpp, dark velvet curtains from And Drape, and beautiful dark purple plaster from Detale Copenhagen on the walls create a cozy yet luxurious atmosphere. With a RackBuddy Loke clothing rack, featuring just a few simple garments, the feeling of a hotel room is achieved.
Achieve a wellness feeling with marble and Corian
Lasse and Line’s bathroom is one of those spaces that simply invites pure self-pampering. It’s simple and minimalist, with attention to every detail. The large marble tiles on both the floor and walls, an elegant shower made from glass doors with solid iron frames from GlassMate, a white sink, and a large bathtub made from white Corian with black Vola faucets as a contrast, make the bathroom feel more like a wellness hotel bathroom.
Create a true children’s world with wallpaper
With two young children, Lasse and Line’s apartment also includes two children’s bedrooms – a girls’ room and a boys’ room. Both rooms are decorated with beautiful wallpaper from Little Hands Wallpaper, in light pink and light blue. Just like in the other rooms, the children’s rooms are also treated to long, beautiful velvet curtains from And Drape. Naturally, the raw RackBuddy Jolene hooks are also hung up.
Lasse and Line have thought through every detail of their apartment design.
